South Road ANZAC Highway Underpass

The new South Road underpass extends approximately 300 metres either side of Anzac Highway and was built by construction contractors AdelaideConnect: a joint venture between Thiess Pty Ltd. and Leed Engineering and Construction. Upgrade at this critical intersection has reduced congestion and improvde safety along South Road - Adelaide's busiest and most critical main arterial freight route. Construction activities started in July 2007 and were completed at the end of 2009. Engineering Surveys utilized 2 full-time survey parties on this essential infrastructure project employing the latest technology in Trimble Robotic Total Stations.
