Palm Cove Easter Break
02.04.2008Engineering Surveys Surveyors and partners were recently treated to a tropical paradise getaway at Palm Cove, far north Queensland over the Easter break. It was hard to wipe the smiles off all concerned as the laid back tropical lifestyle kicked in. Staff stayed at the Sebel Reef House and Spa: http://www.reefhouse.com.au/ and were forced to endure regular dips in the 3 on-site pools, impressive accommodation, and various pampering treatments from the massage & spa on-site health gurus.
Group activities included the outer reef day – an amazing day snorkeling and diving on the outer Barrier Reef – the Agincourt reef - http://www.poseidon-cruises.com.au/
Being jellyfish stinger season we all wore blue swim suits as a precaution – Tellietubbies eat your heart out! (Q: Does anyone look good in a blue form-fitted lycra suit? A: No)
And what an amazing experience to see a reef shark up close . . .

Events also included Go-Kart racing just outside of Cairns, trips to mountain town Kuranda by rail and back on Skyrail, and cable skiing just out of Cairns. Here’s a shot of Michael Templer in fast/relaxed mode:
