ADELAIDE OVAL REDEVELOPMENT
The $20 million redevelopment of Adelaide Oval, Eastern Works involved the construction of 3 new viewing stands with their associated services and amenities and the re-positioning of the eastern entrance. The stands were designed with exposed cable trusses and tensile membrane roofs. Engineering Surveys were involved at every stage of the construction process including setting-out of all earthworks, grids, piling, precast walling and the steel truss canopies. Reflectorless Total Station distance measurement technology was used in the effective 3D alignment and monitoring of the steel canopy structures as final construction tensile strengths were reached and temporary props removed.
